I'd like to THANK my Nalgene Water Bottle for helping me keep tabs on my H2O intake every day so I can make sure that I am drinking at least 80 ounces.... I'd like to THANK my new stroller for the 2 mile walks every Mon., Wed., and Fri., with my friends Natalie and Amy (and occasionally others)

I'd like to THANK Max for weighing 41 pounds and Ava for weighing 22 pounds.....so that when I push them in the stroller, I am pushing a combined weight of 63 pounds.

I'd also like to THANK Cinnabon for deciding to NOT open a store in St. George, Ut. ! There where was a close call there for awhile. ( I saw a "coming soon" sign in the window, but thankfully it went away)

......without all these factors and many, MANY more I would not have reached my GOAL WEIGHT two days ago, for which I am indescribingly enthused, and I would not have lost a total of (drumroll please) 35 pounds since last October. I am not stopping by any means, just taking a moment to give THANKS where they are due and to make new goals for myself and to be grateful for the support from my friends and family.

Fun at the park

Max's friend had his birthday party at the St. George town square park on Saturday evening. I know I have posted about this park before, and we really love it! It is close to where we live and it has some really fun water features for the kids to play in. ( waterfalls, rivers, splashpad...) Since Max is in the stage of life where he hates his picture being taken, I mostly got shots of Ava. Doesn't she look so adorable in her swimsuit? It was such a fun birthday party.

As soon as Ava's feet hit the ground she was off to explore

Ava loves to play peek-a-boo. She kept jumping out from behind this pole with a huge grin on her face. It kept everyone at the party laughing.

I caught Max off guard while he was eating an icecream cone. He had no chance to run :)

Ava, for some reason, likes to ignore the shallow "little kids" play area and go straight for the waterfall. She must be an adrenaline junkie :)

What happens in Vegas.....

Matt's last day of school ( woop woop) was on the friday of Memorial weekend and he and the kids took off to Delta to hang with Grandma and Grandpa B. I took off in the opposite direction with my "girls" Staci and Anne-Marie to Sin city for some nice R&R with the ladies. Staci just graduated from WSU and we decided to celebrate with this weekend getaway. I was super excited to spend a weekend kid-free without changing a diaper, fixing a snack, or waking up at the crack of dawn. I was MOSTLY excited to spend time with Staci and Anne-Marie. Staci and I have known each other since Merry Miss and we became best friends when we were 15. We don't get to see each other too often because we live on opposite sides of the state, but when we do get togethor it is like nothing has changed. ( and at times our maturity levels go back to 15 year olds. haha)

It is fun to see the strip all lit up at night and it is especially cool to watch the Bellagio fountains at night.
