The new stroller is fabulous

We love the new stroller and I have already been on 3 walks since it got here at 3pm yesterday afternoon. Today we walked up to the Library and made it for Story time. The library has such a cute little Toddler story time program. They sing songs and read stories and color at the end. This is the 3 rd time I have taken Max and he is still glued to my side with his arms folded, with a scowl on his face. I keep hoping he will warm up to the idea and participate, but it looks like unless it involves wrestling ( Max's new passion in life) then he isn't at all interested. Ava on the other hand LOVES it. She dances and claps her hands. She gets right up in the middle of all the kids and participates and she isn't even walking yet. She is already such a social butterfly and she loves singing and dancing. So I will keeping bringing the kids and hoping one day Max will enjoy it as much as Ava does.

Decisions, Decisions....

I always knew that I was indecisive at times, but I never thought it would take me this long to buy a stroller. I have been wanting a double stroller since before Ava was born and I couldn't decide between a traditional Double Stroller, or a Sit n Stand. I finally decided on a Sit n Stand but then I have just never done anything about it. My friend was so kind to let me try out her Sit n Stand stroller and I was impressed. It is perfect for Max because he sometimes wants to get out and walk, but it keeps Ava in securely in the front. Max can sit on the back bench or stand. My next mission was to read all the reviews about strollers and I found out that Joovy makes a stroller that is the same as the Baby Trend Sit n Stand, but is lightweight and easier to maneuver. Of course it was more expensive. Well today was the day, my friends! I FINALLY purchased a Joovy Caboose "Stand on" Stroller. I got a steal of a deal ( I have been watching for online coupon codes) and I am thrilled with my purchase! Now I just have to wait for it to get here....

Sometimes

If I need a break from the kids, or the husband ( love you honey), or I am just having a bad day....I can always count on Target. Sometimes I just need to get my "Target Fix" . I am a whole new woman afterwards.

Things I love about Target are:

1. The dollar section
2. The affordable clothes that actually look good on a "mommy" body like mine
3. The bedding is amazing and the home decor is inspiring. Every time I wander around Target I find myself wanting to Re-Decorate my whole house.
4. The Children's clothes. So cute. So affordable. So hard not to buy way more than I actually need.
5. There are many, many more things I love about Target, but I want to now focus on the SHOES. I often make my way over to the shoe section and I will walk up and down the 3...that's right...3 shoe isles. Then, I usually have a blast trying on every pair that I think is even remotely cute. I never end buying any of them, but it is so fun to try them on. After trying on way too many pairs, just the other day, I decided these 3 were my favorites.

The first was my favorite pair, because I am in the market for brown church shoes and these are adorable. They are very comfortable and would be cute with jeans too. Unfortunately they did not have my size and so I had to admire them (in a size too big) for only a little while before I moved on. Now this pair of HIGH sandals is 2nd on my list because of how cute they looked on. They made my legs 2 feet longer, I swear. They made my Haven't-had-a-pedicure-in-a-year feet, look dainty and feminine. They were also impossible to walk in. I admired my myself in them in the mirror, but did not dare walk for fear that I would make a fool of myself.
The 3rd pair sandals are strappy and flat. I could walk fine in them. They are absolutely comfortable and they even had my size. Very flattering, and feminine. But honestly....nothing I own matches gold snakeskin.
So even though I hardly ever leave Target with a cart full. I enjoy going and dreaming and trying on.

One Year Checkup

Ava had her one year checkup this afternoon. She weighed in at 20lbs 14 oz and 29 inches long. She is 50% in both weight and height. She was so brave when they gave her shots. She cried for 10 seconds and then was then distracted by the toys in the Dr.'s office and wanted to get down and play. Ava is such a busy body. She is like the energizer bunny. Go Go GO. We love our little wiggly worm.
