too many pictures, not enough time

We had so much fun while we were up north for 2 weeks. I have over 200 pictures to prove it. I have so many things to blog about and so little time to do it, so here are some pictures of the last couple of weeks. I am sure there will be more to come...

Matt lost one of his contacts the day before we left to come home and after driving with one blurry eye it really started to bug him. Being the resourceful man that he is, he grabbed a bandana and tied it around his head. It was so funny that I had to snap a picture. I love his make-do patch. :)

4th of July

So the 4th of July is a pretty big deal in Delta. Until I married Matt I didn't realize how fun the 4th can really be. They have the coolest parade that starts with F15 jets flying above everyone and then floats come down the street and throw candy. They have activities and booths at the park after the parade. They also have the best sandwiches EVER ( tri-tip beef sandwiches are the best). The demolition derby is at night and we left Ava with Grandma and Grandpa while we took Max to the Derby. He loved watching the cars crash into each other. The fireworks at the end of the derby were awesome. We had such a fun day. The kids loved their stash of candy! :)

Ava was our "go-getter" when it came to the candy. She would hustle and pick up as much as her little hands could carry. Grandma was nice enough to open them up for her and she loved eating the taffy.

Horse rides

It was an exciting day for Max and Ava because they got to go visit horses and cows at Casey and Jamie's farm. Max rode a horse last year at the 4th of July fair at the park and he has pretty much been asking to ride a horse ever since. Max got to ride by himself and Ava rode with me. It was a lot of fun.

We love being able to take the kids to see the farm animals. They get such a kick out of it.

SuMmEr DaYs...

Now that Ava and I have finished puking ( gross I know) and the flu is gone from our house I will have more time to blog. Oh wait, I actually won't have any time to blog because we are Gone, Baby, Gone for 2 weeks to spend some long awaited time with both of our families. I am very excited to chill in Delta over the 4th and then spend time with my Brothers and Sisters in Clinton. So I will have plenty of pictures to post ,I'm sure, when I get back home. Someone please tell me that it is NOT OK to hit the Krispy Kreme store as we pass through Provo on our way up....Honestly, how hard is it not to go when, the HOT light is flashing. mmmmmm..... I drool just thinking about it. Another reason I love St. George. No Krispy Kreme donuts. Too tempting.
