Happy Anniversary, concussion and all :)

Matt and I celebrated our 7th anniversary this weekend! Since our actual anniv. was on Sunday we did most of the celebrating on Saturday. We decided to go Mountain Biking on Saturday morning and it was such a beautiful, sunny day and we were excited to get outside and go riding. I don't have a helmet so I was going to borrow a friends, but we forgot to go pick it up so I ended up wearing Matt's and I am so glad I did. Guess who crashed? That's right....ME!
I was headed down a hill and my brakes didn't catch and I hit a dip going super fast and that's last thing I remember. I woke up to Matt standing over me and he told me that I flew off the bike and hit my head pretty hard. Hard enough , in fact, that it knocked me right out. I was a little sore and dazed but we finished the ride and it wasn't until later that I realized that I probably had a concussion. I had a killer headache and went to bed at 7:00 pm ( unheard of, right?) and slept until the next morning. So I spent our actual anniversary at church trying to stay awake and showing off my scraped legs, which look pretty cool. It was quite the adventure, just like my marriage to Matt. I had a great anniversary and I am grateful for the past 7 years and I know this will be an anniversary that I won't forget. :)
