"The Easter bunny ate some of my candy", Max said as he looked into the garbage can Sunday morning. There were candy wrappers laying on the top. Matt and I looked at each other and tried not to smile. Oops. The "easter bunny" should have been more careful :) The kids were so excited to look for eggs around the house and to stuff handfuls of candy in their mouths in the process. We attempted to eat a healthy breakfast before they ate candy but it was no use, they were too fast for us. Thank goodness church isn't until 1 o' clock because it gave us all a chance to relax and explore Max and Ava's Easter Baskets. I took some pictures of the kids before we headed to church and they looked so so cute. I feel bad for their primary teachers , because they were surely hyper from all the candy:)

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter! Now I just have stop myself from sneaking candy from the kids' baskets.

Dying Eggs

Dying the Easter Eggs was so much fun this year! Ava is old enough to get excited and Max is old enough to pretty much do his own thing. I showed the kids the old "white crayon" trick and they wanted an egg for each of us. Ava loved to make a splash when she would put her egg in the cup and her poor hands were bright blue and green by the time we finished. They loved putting stickers all over the eggs and all over Mommy.

Happy Birthday Ava

Is is possible that my sweet Ava is now 2 years old? I can't seem to wrap my head around it. Ava loved celebrating her birthday at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and we loved watching her reaction as she opened gifts. Ava's birthday was on March 27th and I am a slacker and haven't posted it until now.
