Ava's first hair cut

When I made the decision to finally have Ava's hair cut I knew I better hurry and get it done before I changed my mind. I LOVE her long, shiny hair and that is why I have never cut it...not once....since she was born. So I finally decided to cut off the bottom so it could grow out thicker and to even out all her layers. I called my friend Danna to come over and she did such a great job. I though I would cry, but because I was so busy distracting Ava and taking pictures I didn't even shed a tear. I am proud of Ava for being such a trooper.

So I survived the first haircut, but I can't get over how old Ava looks now. She seems like such a little lady!

baths and birthdays

We had a fun time with Grandpa n Grandma this past weekend. It was Grandma Bassett's bday and Max , Ava and I drove to her school and surprised her with some candy and kisses :) She was pretty surprised and the kids loved spending another weekend at their grandparents house. Meanwhile, Matt had a Math conference in Las Vegas and he missed out on all the fun, although he did win some Elton John tickets at the conference and that was kind of cool. We don't really listen to Elton John we plan on selling them and doing something else fun.
The kids are so funny during bath time that I thought I'd snap some pictures this morning. Ava really loves to play in front of the mirror after bath time. It works great for me because it gives me a chance to get her all lotioned up. This morning she kept giving herself kisses in the mirror and it was really cute.

We got Ava's horsey put together from Christmas and it has been non-stop fun riding the pony at our house. Ava loves to ride her pony and she goes to her play kitchen and gets grapes and apples to "pretend" feed the pony. She is actually quite the dare-devil and will stand on the horse's back and jump.

I thought I'd post this picture just for fun. I love how cute Ava is right before church. Now that we moved to 1 o clock time , I have more time to do her hair before church.

I have been SLACKING for the past month.... I sometimes go in spurts of blogging madness and then at times I am not interested in blogging at all. We had a wonderful Christmas and the best part was the opportunity to spend time with both families. The kids had a blast playing with cousins, aunts and uncles, and Grandma's and Grandpa's. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was so busy playing that I forgot to get the camera out. I did get some funny videos of the kiddos, so I at least feel better about that.
