A Walker and a Protector

Attention friends and family, we have an announcement to make( a little belated, sorry). Ava is now a WALKER!!!! She has been ready for awhile but she finally took the plunge on May 18th and she hasn't looked back since. She is wobbly and unsteady at times and I think it is the cutest thing ever. She is tough as nails too. She never cries when she tumbles and she gets right back up and keeps on trying. Ava always amazes us with her tenacity and determination. She is one amazing little gal. We sure do love her.

Ava is more likely so show off her new skills for daddy than for mommy. She has been doing her best walking in the evenings when Matt is home...

I am so proud of my little lady!!

For the past week I have been wondering when I'm going to see my handsome Max's face again. He is a very energetic Batman and he loves "saving" Ava and I, all day long, from monsters and 'mean guys'. At one point, I was the "mean guy", for making him take it off for 10 minutes so his face could get some air and so I could wipe the sweat off his forehead with a wipee. The batman that lives at my house shoots webs out of his wrist. I know this may surprise some of you because this is a common trait of Spiderman, but my little batman must be multi-talented because he also carries a hammer around to "fix" anything I might need fixing. He is my hero.

...and last but not least this is a picture of Matt and Max watching one of the Jazz games. I think it was past Max's bedtime because he looks pretty sleepy.....

your description of max was VERY funny!! and I bet the sad faces during the jazz game had nothing to do with being tired.... those are looks of disappointment

Yes, Ava's walk is adorable. Like a little wobbles people. I know why she walks more for dad than mom...she likes mom to hold her and carry her! I brought the kittens in and she wanted to squeeze them to death, while Max only wanted to look at them. He has lost interest in "Flappy". Hope you are having as much fun in Vegas as we are having with the kids in Delta! Love, Claudia

I love the Batman mask. Max looks cute in it. How fun to have Ava walking. Good luck with that. Hopefully you don't have to chase her down too much.

This is just way toooo funny. Max is such an intense pretender. I love it. Sometimes I think kids now days have forgotten how to pretend, so it is great to see him so into his play. What a great little boy. I can't wait to see Ava walk. I'm so excited to see you next week.
Love Mom
